Why I’m Excited for Tacos and Beats Festival 2025
On Saturday, October 4, I’ll be on the sand at Little Elm Beach for the first-ever Tacos & Beats Festival, and I’m not just showing up. I’m showing out. I’m an ambassador for this one, which means my name is attached, and I don’t cosign mid. This is tacos, music, culture, fireworks, lake breeze, and a lineup that feels like my group chat turned into a stage.

What I’m Coming For
First off, this is a 21+ event, which already sets the tone. But let’s be honest—what I’m really excited for is finally seeing Keyshia Cole live. She came to Dallas recently, and I missed it. I’ve had FOMO ever since, and this is my redemption arc.
I’m also stepping it up this year with VIP tickets—and not just to say I did. VIP comes with early entrance, a private section, lounge access, restrooms that don’t make you question your life choices, and complimentary food and beverage tastings. If you see me posted up with a lanyard and a plate, just know I’m living my best life.
Tickets are currently listed at $85 for GA and $160 for VIP, and honestly, the extra perks make the upgrade tempting.
Comfort Is Strategy
In my podcast episode Flights, Friends & Festivals, I said it plainly: festivals aren’t a fashion show with background music. Texas weather has mood swings. It finally cooled off at night this week, but you’ll still be outside for hours. Feet first, then fit. Wear shoes you can dance in, bring shade or a fan, and protect your energy so you can actually enjoy the music instead of counting down the minutes until you can sit down.
This is a beach venue, so I’m planning to bring a blanket or chair, kick back, and let the vibes carry me through the day.
The Big Party
If this is the first you’re hearing about it—welcome to Tacos & Beats Festival. Think Keyshia Cole, Rick Ross, Jeremih, Fat Joe, a Selena tribute band, lucha libre wrestling, vintage cars, food trucks, and fireworks lighting up the lake.
The festival starts at 3 PM, wraps around 9:30 PM, and promises to be a full-day experience. It’s giving: “You don’t want to miss this.”
VIP vs GA — My Move
I’m going VIP this time because I want the full lock-in. But GA still gets you into the festival and the concert, and the beach energy is for everyone. Pick your vibe, just don’t wait until Saturday to decide.

A Little FYI Before You Go
Here’s the quick rundown so you can skip the gate drama:
Gates open at 2 PM, event runs 3–9:30 PM.
Chairs and tents are allowed, but tents require a separate tent ticket (one 10×10 per).
Bag policy: Small bags or fanny packs up to 16″×16″×8″ are fine, or a one-gallon clear freezer bag. Medical and diaper bags are allowed.
Age: 21+ only with valid ID.
Water & fans: Bring an empty water bottle to refill inside, and yes—bring a fan. Hydration and airflow will save your life.
I want my people outside. Come find me, say hi, and let’s make this a Saturday worth talking about.
